A new page in the history of the Macedonian Air Force (Makedonsko Voeno Vozduhoplovstvo) has been written on 8 September 2011 when this service took part in the first-ever military parade of Macedonian Army (Armija na Republika Makedonija). Held on the streets of Macedonia's capital Skopje, the military parade was organized to mark the 20th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Macedonia (Republika Makedonija). Macedonian Air Force Mi-8MT helicopter is seen here flying over downtown Skopje and over the giant world-biggest 40-tonne, 11-meter-high (39-feet), bronze statue of Alexander the Great (Aleksandar Makedonski).
