I couldn't stand posting another shot from the opening of the 2007 European Capital of Culture program, just tell me which one you prefer as I couldn't make up my mind ;-)

The picture here is soft and we lack detail and focus. The idea with the light in the back is god and looks nice on the thumbnail yet remains unimpressive when opened.
You might want to sharpen this picture by quite a bit before resizing it to fit TE requirements.
A pity that you lack about 1 centimetre on the right and this would have been a perfect composition. I would have cropped a bit more off the top as those who have not seen the installation don't really get anything extra from that bit. Perhaps a wider angle of the scene & tilted upwards would have created something quite interesting.
In any case, it is a moment well spotted and well captures, besides for the obvious technical problems.

I think this is the best of your Capital of Culture shots. The glow really sets off the middle musician, creating an ethereal, angelic effect. A little more contrast in the shadows, and (as has been noted) a little more sharpness, would make it even better. Merry Christmas, regards, Ken.
