Photographer's Note
"Rotonde", Luxembourg-city, Luxembourg.
Invasion of Space-Culture in Luxembourg ;-)
Detail shot of the roof of the "rotonde" in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. The rotondes are old engine sheds of the Luxembourg Rail Company (CFL). They were built in 1875, but are no longer in use as sheds to busses or trains. In 2000 the Government bought the site from CFL and decided to affect it to cultural purposes. During the 2007 Capital of Culture, the two rotondes are the headquater of the Cultural Year. This explains also the quite spacy lightening: the cultural events within the programm of the Luxembourg 2007 are trademarked by this special blue color.
More about the 2007 Capital of Culture within my TE Theme.
Picture taken from the bridge to the railstation with 1600 iso settings. The big reflections on the roof are so important because it was such a rainy night!
