Luxembourg, European Capital of Cuture 2007.
Yesterday evening was the opening of large series of events, exhibtions and festivities taking place as part of the 2007 European Capital of Culture program.
It all started at 18.00 at the railstation with:
"the lose encounter of the third kind between the Sirènes musicales symphony orchestra and the Luxembourg violoncellist André Mergenthaler. The "Song of the Sirens" in dialogue with "Cello Loops": an experience between dreamand reality." (I quote the official website).
After this concert of a special kind, a music-parade went from the railstation to the upper town, where a big firework (Leiju's page) started.

Yay! I'm happy to see a post about the opening!
How did you like the event?
I like your POV here as you've included the crowd. The light also works quite well... however I'm not sure whether a horizontal version wouldn't have been more fitting :D
In any case, an excellent and timely shot! PLUS an excellent note! TFS!

Félicitations pour cette photo nocturne riche en couleurs. La prise de vue ne devait pas être aisée compte tenu de l'environnement.
L'on sent bien à travers la composition l'ambiance sympathique qui s'en dégage.

Excellent note to go with the photo. Very colorful nightshot. Congratulations. This one was taken at the railwaystation in front of the pavillion of the Grand Duke I think.
