"Musee d'Art Moderne / Mudam", Luxembourg.
The Mudam is Luxembourgs modern art museum. It was designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei and opened this year. Like for the Pyramd of the Louvre, one Pei's most famous works, the construction uses geometric shapes, glass panes and "Magny Doré" stone.It is quite a successful attempt to merge the old stones from the ruins of the fortress and new modern materials.
The construction of the Mudam took quite longer then planned, partly because of court cases around the tender that led to it's construction. The surroundings are pately still under construction.
