Photographer's Note
After an excursion to postcards and reflections in my latest uploads I may shock you with something so simple that you may regard it as even less than "nothing special".
Three photos from the Lithuanian city of Klaipéda with a common theme of red details.
In the main photo I was attracted by the red wooden crates stacked by a grey wall on the side of a market square. I liked the impact of the colours and considered taking a photo. When the lady in red suddenly arrived to pick up her bike there was no more time for consideration. An immediate snapshot became necessary.
Here is a larger version.
One WS shows not only red details but also blue and green – and a gentleman in blue. In another WS is a pretty girl with red details.

Hi Gert,3 great shots from village of Lithuania with always something of red inside. In the WS the man is changing the things in green as i can see and it's a great composition, while the lady smiling seems coming from a book of fairy tales. Obviously i like the main composition too,3 nothing of special very well done,a mix of styles between CLODO and GyurMaster..ehehe...Happy Easter to you and your family and thanks,Luciano

Hi Gert
Three superb photographs showing attractive red details and I would have had a very hard time choosing one over the other. Perhaps your choice is the wisest since it also captures a moment.
Best regards and Happy Easter.

Hello Gert, three quite different shots but with the theme of red; I like your idea.
All with excellent sharp focusing.
In your main post, how fortunate you were that the cyclist turned up in her red top, she balances the picture beautifully.
Kind regards,Jean.

Hello Gert,
A very special series of photos with a clearly coloured story.
One photo is a nice illustration, but the three of them tell a cheerful story.
Just a pity that the pretty girl is not painting Easter eggs, the series would have been perfect for today.
I wish you a Happy Easter, groet Rob

Dear Gert,
Now, that is something I like more than your reflections! That is the Gert I know. :) Any joking apart all three photos are good observation and play with the colours. The girl is really pretty in the WS, it would sell as a main upload too.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Gert,
Three wonderfully colourful photographs from Lithuania, each well seen and well taken too.
I do like the composition in your main picture - it's quite quirky with the most interesting subject (the girl with the bike) placed at the very left of the frame with the edge of the building separating her from the pile of red boxes while the rest of the image is fairly monotone. It works very well.
Obviously the Lithuanian authorities favour colour as evidenced by your image of the man in blue painting a lamppost green while surrounded by fences of red and blue!
And, yes, I am sure that pretty girl was quite happy for you to take her photograph - she is smiling and content and is pretty obviously aware of your presence. Her head scarf and nails are delightfully colourful but, looking at the direction of her gaze, I can't help feeling that the focal point of that picture is the yellow tip of her paintbrush! Lovely!
Three delightful and very colourful images.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hej Gert,
Den grå væg er ikke så interessant selvfølgelig, så kompositionen er meget mere spændende med de to stakker med røde kasser. Ovenikøbet så er kvinden med den røde trøje og den røde hjælm en fantastisk bonus.

Great collection of red-themed photos all taken in the same country. Did you think about a TE post when you were snapping in Lithuania?
I like the unorthodox composition in the main photo (even if it was possibly a result of the lady in red appearing unannounced, leaving no time for creative decisions). Love the portrait of the girl with the paintbrush and the colours in the other WS. The only problem - they all deserve to be main uploads!
Have a good week.
Kasia
Ps. Good weather is over, but apparently only for a few hours...

Hello Gert.
A good work with these three images, in different points of the city, that have as a common denominator the red color, which is a good link, to form this trio of images. Also red is a powerful color, which when it appears in a photo, always captures attention.
Good management of brightness and sharpness.
Well done.
All the best and have a good start to the week.
Luis.

A good theme although I think I would have gone for the artist as my first choice even with less red - just love her exprseeion.

Hi Mesut...I mean Gert
yes, the woman in red made the scene a 1000x better, not only for the red but she enlarges the scene and fills out the frame better too, something interesting to see on both sides. Its funny how these scenes of matching colours happen so often when you really pay attention to it. excellent grab shot Mesut haha
cheers

Hello Gert,
Three photographs that I find really interesting.
I see why you have chosen this as your main post because it contains the most red for your theme but each one is very individual.
I really like the w/s with the strong colours of red, green and blue. Maybe, that was my favourite but I also found it interesting that both your w/s photographs show people creating colours.
Don't we just love observing and perusing people, which we can do without any backlash, when we watch them on TE.
Thank you for sharing these,
Bev :-)

Hello, Gert!
Red is always an interesting color for photos, especially when surrounded by more neutral tones like in the images you show us here, it stands out beautifully! I'll soon post some birds with red feathers that could also be in a series like this. Very good job! Well observed!

Hello Gert,
The matching colours of red are nice. And the light toned beige bg wall and flagstones help to lift the color from its surroundings. Good sharpness and a superb minimalist shot. Tfs!

Hello Gert, The scenes itself are nothing special but you observed stunning colour contrasts. You were lucky that the biker in red entered your composition. Charming girl in Workshop. I like especially the red ribbon in her hair and a nice smile.
I was in Klaipeda and Palanga a bit further north but it was in pre-digital times, I have no photos. I remember it as a nice place.
Kind regards MAlgo

Sometimes I do downtown with a theme in my mind, here it was the gorgeous red hue, and we discover some new things.

Hello Gert,
Very fine three photos showcasing the color red. I wonder if the main photo could be cropped tighter on the left. It would definitely lose the biker in red but the red crates against the grey wall might yield a more minimalist photo - just a thought.
