Photographer's Note

Another collage. I couldn't decide what picture to make the main upload and no time for two photos. And the people not always look at Workshops.

vaduz castle lies high up on the hill and can be seen from all places in the capital below. I felt a bit lazy to climb but finally went up and was rewarded with the nice views.
Since 1938, the castle has been the primary residence of Liechtenstein's Princely Family. The princely family still lives in the castle and it is not open to the public.

From Wikipedia:
Hans-Adam II (Johannes Adam Ferdinand Alois Josef Maria Marco d'Aviano Pius; born 14 February 1945) is the reigning Prince of Liechtenstein. He is the son of Franz Joseph II, Prince of Liechtenstein (1906–1989) and his wife Countess Georgina von Wilczek (1921–1989). He also bears the titles Duke of Troppau and Jägerndorf, and Count Rietberg. Hans-Adam is the richest monarch in Europe (!?)

Much more impressive is a castle in Lednice acquired by the prince of Liechtenstein in 1249, which marked the beginning of their settlement in the area. It remained the principal Liechtenstein residence for 700 years, until 1939 and World War II. Now in Czech Republik.
