Church of San Paolo - Spoleto (PG)
It is included within the enclosure of the Monastery of San Ponziano, of which it was perhaps an oratory.
From the constructive characteristics it seems to date back to the end of the 15th century. The simple façade retains no ornaments and the access door, now walled up, is offset to the left. It is currently accessed through a small door on the left wall. The rear wall of the church is in line with the monastery wall. The interior is now bare and unadorned, under the floor there is an area perhaps intended for burial. On the altar wall there is a fresco of a Crucifixion, dated 1507. From the left you can recognize San Benedetto, San Pietro, the Madonna, San Giovanni, San Paolo and Sant'Antonio da Padova.
