Porto Venere ou Portovenere est une commune italienne située dans le parc national des Cinque Terre,
Vue prise depuis le bateau.
Malgré l'aspect un peu sévère que lui donne sa citadelle des 12e-16e s., la petite cité ligure mérite d'être vue : elle a en effet conservé de très anciennes maisons, datant parfois du 12e s., et dont certaines furent fortifiées par les Génois. Depuis la terrasse de l'église San Pietro, belle vue sur le golfe de La Spezia et sur les Cinque Terre. (guide de voyage)

Bonjour Roland,
One of the beautiful towns along the Ligurian coast, attractive even more than Portofino, in my opinion.
The bay scenery with the colorful houses and the San-Pietro church built on the cliff, the fort atop the ridge - all wonderfully presented.
One place I really enjoyed exploring in 06/2012 tour of the region.

Hello Roland,
It is a famous area but not so often shown here from this angle. The composition showing so much sky is also quite original, but it is well balanced and there is a fine contrast between the two tones of blue. The town is marvellously located along the shore and up the hill. The colours are very attractive.

even from this far away point of view its still very attractive. What is that section on the middle left, looks almost an abandoned place, and is that a fortress up top as well? colourful and eye catching scene. cheers

Hi Roland,
A beautiful seaside view of this little old town on a cape. Narrow strait between the town and that island looks interesting. I like colour variations on those tall and narrow buildings.
