Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Two photographs, today, showing a different side of Pisa.

The most attractive site that we all want to see and record is, of course, the leaning tower but there are other places worth a visit, too.

My photograph shows the market which is not far from the tower. It was a very busy and vibrant day when we were there, with any number of souvenirs from around this part of Italy on sale.

I chose this view first, as I loved the beam of sunlight, streaming through the arch. I was lucky, because just as I was about to take the photograph, this lady walked right into my line of vision. She could have spoilt the shot but, in fact, she created a good link with the figure coming in the opposite direction.
