Photographer's Note
The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River, in Florence, noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers. The Ponte Vecchio's two neighbouring bridges are the Ponte Santa Trinita and the Ponte alle Grazie.

Hello Daniel,
There have been so many uploads of this iconic bridge that it is difficult to find a different aspect but, I think you have managed to do just that!
The vertical format has allowed you to give excellent, crisp details of the bridge but also, incorporate a very artistic extension of reflected buildings, all emphasising the vertical composition.
The f/g triangle of sunlight is a added, contrasting bonus.

hmmm....we dont' usually see this bridge so upclose and personal, most times we see it from a pulled back perspective.
nice to see it this way as well.
such a shame that now it is SOOOO touristy with cheesy shops, it would have been better to have the butchers there :)
the sunlight was a bit harsh for you, but its still a great view to examine the closed shutters and their condition, and the hint of water reflections below add another elegant touch. cheers

Il est vraiment très beau ce pont.Le cadrage vertical est particulier pour n'en chercher qu'une partie tout en profitant des beaux reflets.
