Hello Daniel,
Often in Italy, it is the old men that we see sitting and gossiping; here it is the fairer sex that is spending a quiet moment together. Excellent street capture, perfectly suited to the bookmark format. The beautifully textured walls make a lovely backdrop to the relaxing ladies. Superb atmospheric, excellent technical quality.

Lovely daily life scene, Daniel. It's great to grow old in a sunny country where people can sit outside on a bench and talk to their neighbours. Loneliness is much more a problem in the north, I believe. Good crop.

Hello Daniel,
This picture brought memories from a similar scene i saw in Lucca, and posted - when 3 or 4 old ladies were sitting by the old building and having their chat of the day... Just as we see here.
Taken this very effectivly, as included a nice part of the ancient structure above.
One lady was inquisitivly looking at you...

Bonjour Daniel,
Cela y est. Le repas est prêt. La vaisselle est faite et la laveuse à linge est en marche. On peut en profiter pour un petit moment pour aller faire causette avec les amies. Très beau moment.

Hi Daniel, In Volterra there are no so many tourists. It still has its medieval atmosphere. Interesting that in Italy always they sit like this - women with women and men with men. Not together.
Pleasant picture of the kind nothing special. Wonderful old walls.

I wonder how this photo would look in black and white?
perhaps it would look great, like an old newspaper photograph:)
You love taking vertical shots, and i get the feeling most people if given the opportunity to shoot this scene, would have done so horizontally - not you :)

A graceful shot within the old town scene and the beauty is often in elementariness; a found old architecture mixed with the figs combination, creating a bright eye catching yet strong definition to the composition within the limited space. I love the sense of humanity there and how life is lived in their environment on which, I believe this shot will leave a lasting impression!!! Great capture, Congrats
