One more close to San Marco square during 2010 Carnival.
Much more difficult due to the distance beteween subject and me with strong back-light. My strong flash were not sufficient.
Encore une au lever de soleil pres de la place St Marc.
Cette fois ci meme mon flash puissant n'a pas suffit a eclairer le sujet tres eloigne afin d'eviter le contre-jour. Toutefois, j'aime assez cette ambiance relativement 'speciale' durant le Carnaval.

I hear you Thierry; this is exactly how Venice looked like when I was there, with a grayish sky, not such a great light for photos but the atmosphere of the old city is still something extraordinary.
Although the light could be better, the composition is good and descriptive for the place.

Very nice, almost surreal picture. Venice looks great in the background and the carnival dresses add another typical Venetian element to the shot. The picture could maybe use a bit of added contrast in some areas.
