Bergamo,
This is on the far side of the city, in an area known as 'Colle Aperto'. Here, away from the bustling upper city is the last little altered gateway of 'Porta San Lorenzo' (later Porta Garibaldi).
When you come from the Aeroporto or Stazione, you can catch the No 1: bus around to here and walk back down into Citta Basso.
Up to the right of the picture are the Botanical Gardens.
