Medieval Castle of Valentino Park
Valentino Park is a popular public park in Turin. It is located along the west bank of the river Po. It covers an area of 500,000m², which makes it Turin's second largest park (Turin's largest park, the 840,000m² Pellerina Park, is Italy's most extended urban green area).
The Valentino Park was opened by the city of Turin in 1856 and was Italy’s first public garden.
The medieval replica of a Village with Castle was a pavilion for the International Exhibition held in 1884, and was supposed to be demolished after the event. Instead, it was turned into a city museum in 1942.
One of the consultants who worked on creating Turin’s Medieval Village and Castle was Piedmontese writer and playwright Giuseppe Giacosa, who among other things was the librettist of Puccini’s operas “La Bohème”, “Tosca” and “Madama Butterfly”.

Salut Camilla,

Hello Camilla,
You have photographed an interesting building in an interesting lighting situation.
The trees and shadows give the castle a very mysterious atmosphere.
The composition is fine, the main feature off centre and a good sense of depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Ciao Camilla
Saluti
Carlo
