Photographer's Note
Waiting to make new trips, today after many years I propose a view of the Villa Clerici, which together with the Villa Annoni is the most photographed place in my country. This is the most classic view, with the majestic staircase overlooking the Naviglio. Unfortunately, no investor has yet decided to do some work, and everything falls apart. One of the most striking Lombard villas that, with its park, face the Naviglio Grande. It's characterized by a grand staircase that connects the villa to the canal. Built on the mid 17th century and early 18th century, probably over an ancient fortress since its located above a hill overlooking the Naviglio, with the design of Gerolamo Quadrio. Outstanding features include the beauty of the main fade: with porticos and two belvedere side towers, preceded by a long path outlined by low level buildings that once housed stables, carriage houses, and guest quarters. Entirely surrounded by greenery.

Ciao Luciano
A good upward pov on the snowclad steps. I might have added more shadows. Might try a workshop later. Good sharpness and composition. Tfs!

a well chosen PoV giving height to this fine old building, the greenery from the trees and foreground makes good framing.

Ciao Caro Luciano,
I thought I remembered that you had posted a photograph of this Villa previously and found it, in 2014, though the weather was kinder then, with a bright, blue sky.
It is a beautiful building and, as you rightly say, sadly begins to fall apart. With the covering of snow and wintery aspect, the villa seems sadder.
You chose an excellent viewpoint, using the steps as a viewer guide and enclosing the trees, to emphasise how they are beginning to act like a curtain!
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Hello Luciano,
Something should be done to these trees before they completely overrun the classically designed staircases. This is still a beautiful view but deterioration may run fast if no maintenance is done. It's a fine composition but the weather wasn't so good and there is a certain lack of contrasts. Chris' WS took care of that quite well.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Luciano, the villa looks rather sad, as if the plants and trees are taking over the space!
I like that you have filled the frame with the building and the very fine staircase.
Interesting notes.
I spy some snow!
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Luciano,
A very nice view of the old villa among the trees and the many stairs leading up to it. The many different shades of green in the trees create a very nice frame and the little bit of snow makes also a nice detail.

Ciao Luciano,
it does look like it could be a great hotel for example. The staircase is quite elegant and additionally decorated with the presence of the snow. Interestingly snow coexists with a lot of green plants as if the seasons were mixed here.
Lovely capture. I am looking forward to make some trips finally as well, but the restrictions seem to get worse,

Hello Luciano,
The composition is very attractive with its different horizontal layers.
However, I get the impression that nature is slowly overgrowing the villa.
This beautiful villa appears to be a discovery in an Indiana Jones movie.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Luciano,
That staircase is huge and really gives a good idea of an old villa once owned by very important people. All the signs of nature taking back this place tell clearly how it is neglected nowadays. And still makes it more photogenic.

Hi Luciano.
Very interesting note about the Villa, I love these palaces and it is a pity that they get lost, the staircase is fantastic and majestic, what we see of the building is a sober and elegant architecture, the large trees frame all of it very well.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Well done. I love it.
Enjoy the weekend, but taking all the precautions against Covid.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Buongiorno Luciano,
Saw those stairs on a picture in your gallery somelong time ago. But, this one is a winter photo, snow patches on ground and some pale hue of the trees.
Nonetheless, the architecture design of this scaled stairs way up.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Ola Luciano,
Beautiful photo from a classic Italian place, with a little snow it became even more beautiful. It really is a very old place with a very rich past and full of stories. It is a city that I would put in my itinerary in case one day I return to Italy, especially since it is close to Malpensa airport, which is where direct flights to Milan arrived from Brazil, I think they are currently suspended, but one day they must return.
Abraços desde o Brasil
