Photographer's Note
St. Peter's is famous as a place of pilgrimage, as a work of architecture, for its liturgical functions and for its many historical associations. It is associated with the papacy, with the Counter-reformation and with numerous artists, most significantly Michelangelo. Contrary to popular misconception, Saint Peter's is not a cathedral, as it is not the seat of a bishop. It is properly termed a basilica.
Any comments for improvement welcome, I want to learn and improve!
Thanks,
Richard

As reviewer #1 noted, subtle but very powerful image. The lighting here is magnificent; not too harsh nor soft. Almost impressionism... great balance between the pastel sky and the trees... awesome photo. I might consider cropping just a bit of the sky to balance it more with the trees below, but I would need to see how that would look; it may work better this way, anyway, Thanks for sharing!

Hi Richard,
The atmosphere of your shot is full of melancholy, I like it very much...except for that big dark mass of the tree below. All the rest...fabulous!
Nice WE
