Photographer's Note

No, it's not a secret.
The building you see behind the trees is so called Main Quadrangle or just Quad. It is hosting the administration of University College Cork (UCC).
This quiet desolated garden happens to be full of students, weather permitting of course, which means practically just a couple of days per year.

It is the third most important university in the Republic of Ireland, ranked somewhere between 300 and 400 position in the world, which is not too bad.

Very close to the main entrance to the quadrangle you may be surprised to see French words: Dieu et mon droit (as far as I remember). You probably know that those French words are inscribed on the symbol of Queen of England. It is not surprising to be found on the wall of this Irish university because UCC was founded (1845) together with the universities in Belfast and Galway by British Queen. Globalization, you may say...

The university motto goes nowadays back to another person, mythical founder of the Cork City (see previous picture which I uploaded), St Finbarr.
It says: "Where Finbarr Taught Let Munster Learn"
Munster is by the way the name of the province.
