Photographer's Note
Some of you may have seen some pictures that I shot last year on Skellig Michael. I was there again this year and tried to get some different views of the puffins.
This lad is coming in to land and is using his wings as a parachute. They really are uncomfortable and awkard flyers but you have to admire their tenacity. Have a browse through my other gallery pics for details on Skellig Michael and puffins.
This photo last year had many of my friends saying " A pity you missed the top of the wings". I had to try and get one this year with a takeoff and all the wingspan.

Hi Danny, excellent shot..love these puffins! I must go to Skellig Michael next time to see some! The blurry green background is also very good..the puffin is so sharp! Well done!
