Photographer's Note

The English name Glendalough comes from the Irish Gleann Dá Loch which translates to "The valley of the two lakes". One of Ireland's most popular National Parks and ruins of the monastery date to the 11th century, and a 1000-year-old round tower.

This early Christian settlement, founded in this beautiful valley by St. Kevin, is the very important religious and historic place in the Wicklow Mountains and one of the most important of such sites in Ireland.
