Three views of Asgard II figurehead, from different points of view. As far as the character is concerned, here is the information straight from Asgard II website:
As befits the traditional design of the vessel, "Asgard II" carries as her figurehead a carving of "Granuaile", the famous 16th century Mayo "Pirate" Queen.

I do not know more about this pirate queen, but the sculpture has a big sword, so this was probably a very early feminist activist.
