Photographer's Note

When we arrived in Carlow town, we had a feeling that we are the first tourists here ever. People were looking at us with curious faces especially when I started to take pictures on the street. When I asked in a newsstand about the possibility to buy postcards they were smiling most probably thinking Why would anybody want to buy a postcard from Carlow?. They were incredible nice and helpful though and the town is very clean and tidy. Language prevalent on the street was Polish.

I took couple of postcard-like photographs but they are not quite fascinating. Unfortunately this fantastic blue sky which you can see in my previous Carlow upload was just temporary and just few minutes later heavy clouds arrived covering tightly the sun and placing everything in the dark grey shade. This photograph here was taken in such a shade when the colors were basically gone, that is why I decided to use pseudo-HDR technique to enhance it.

Far in the distance you can see a fragment of Carlow Castle, in the foreground… a piece of art. It may be not quite what it looks like from this perspective. I leave it to your imagination though. I was not able to find any information about it.
