Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in Jökulsárlón lagoon.
Jökulsárlón literally means glacier lagoon in icelandic lenguage (Jökull - glacier, lón - lagoon).
You can find many icebergs and pieces of ice floating in this lagoon, an stunning cold landscape.
I wanted to highlight the colour contrast between the white ice and the red Goretex jacket with a little flash.
In fact, I took three diferent pictures:
1) the subject focused and the landscape without focus
2) the subject without focus and the landscape focused
3) all the picture with focus.
Finally I liked the option 1. This is why i just wanted to point out this colour contrast that makes the subject. For me in this pìcture it's not important the sharpness of the landscape. But, this is only my opinion and my preference.
In fact, i must admit this picture is strange, maybe could be from a Magazine of Goretex jackets rather than a Nature Picture.

Ola.
Has a real dreamy quality to it. Works so well obviously because of the contrast of the bright red jacket with the blue grey of the scene. Good job too becuase otherwise I think the softness of focus of the rest of the scene would annoy me!!

PS what language have you written your note in? It looks like Spanish but again doesn't. Is it Catalan?

This photo needs bigger "f" stop, like f/20-30 to ger more dept of field, or more smaller to get more blurry background, now it's in the middle. Anyway great contrast of colors

Hi Richard,
Very good composition with nice colors. I would only change the aperture value to e.g f/18 - f/20 to get a sharper image in the background...
Good work though,
Dimitris

Hola Ricard,

Molt bonica.
Bona nit,

Very good picture. I personally think it would have been even better if you had focussed on the ice, but it's also more original this way... ! Well done.

Hello Ricard,
I was wondering where Red Jacket was looking at and I found it. It looks like a face surrounded by a dark scarf. It's out there somewhere... just find it but if you don't, have a look at the workshop. By the way, in my opinion (and my preference) the cyan cast should be removed by adjusting the white balance. Otherwise a nice nordic landscape (or should I say an icy waterscape ?)
Well, did you found the face... so, look out Ricard, Big Brother is watching you while you take pictures. ;-))
Regards,
Guy

oh! I had missed this one!! Excellent contrast between the agressivity of the red and the passivity of the white and blue. Man! This must have been quite a moment in your life to admire such natural beauty. Tibo

Ricard - My also has a red waterprrof jacket. She is not allowed to go on holiday without it! The Ice by itself would have been a fairly flat image and you inclusion of the figure has aided this shot tremendously.
