Photographer's Note
Dómadalur -Doom dale- the valley of judgement... There is a tale about it but it is too long to be told here. Anyway that is in the area one of the few wide open places that are not completely desert. It is covered in moss and hosts a lot of golden plovers which you can hear tweet in the distance. I like the dark hills topping a warm foreground.

The valley of judgement..it sounds almost biblical! Maybe it looks a bit like that as well.
Good choice to have the people in the frame, and exposure and colour is all good, but I think the bottom third spoils it a bit. The dark mountains and sky are so wonderful and the forefround is a little dull. It would have been better with more sky and less foreground I think. Nice anyway

I like the dark hills topping a warm foreground too Aurelien!! :)
The foreground details do look a little soft to me - perhaps there's a gale blowing - but overall, pretty nice.

I think the contrast between the mountains and the foreground is stark, which makes it striking. Great balance provided by the fissure crossing the picture near the middle, further accented by the people. Overall very nice!
