Photographer's Note
This is early afternoon in south central Iceland, a cold and cloudy day on Fjallabak nyrdri mountain track. I had just bought this 1988 Lada Niva 4x4 and went for a two day-trip on my own into the first snow of the season. The night had been spent in my tent on a frozen lakeshore waking up every ten minutes because of an amazing jet sound right by my side... which , I found out in the morning, were just cracks propagating at amazing speed across the lake's ice.

It's a great image - I had to stop by and look closer just to see how you had achieved that rather ghostly effect (sharp in the distance, nearground surround out of focus). Interesting note and hope to see more of this landscape.

Don't scare me, Aurelien!
If I ever arrive here, i would ask you for a ride.
Did you guide the American travelers sometimes? If so, what did they tell you about their trip from the America continent to your airport (visa, itinerary...)?
Thanks for your contribution,
Thanh

Aurelien, It is good to see a bit of Iceland through your lens. This is so different to most places. Exciting to see the drivers view crossing this piece of frozen lake. Well done, keep these coming. TFS. Murray.
