Photographer's Note

In my previous uploaded picture I refered to the Historic
commercial center of Thessaloniki city and to "Ladadika",
an important part of this particular place.Ladadika took their name from the old olive oil shops existing there since the start of 20th century. The place is right next to the harbour which was used for their commercial trades. The area started to decline and finally got abandoned since late seventies. In 1990 the building in the picture was repaired in its original state and operated as a bar named "Dock 'n' Roll",played wonderful rock and alternative music.Since then "Ladadika" area evolved to a new place of night entertainment. It is a basic touristic place for the city."Dock" now has other name and it's a restaurant, but was the beginning of this new era.It will always live in our memory...
