Photographer's Note
I really like the richness in texture and colour of this coastline on the road to Samos marina near Pythagorio, which can be seen in the background, with the mountains rising up behind. Hope you like it too.
The lady going for a swim was a bonus, I wasn't aware she was there until I reviewed the photograph on my computer.Time for some new glasses I think :)

Hello Marion,
Yes, Marion, I agree with you - the textures of the soft stone in that outcrop of rock are wonderful - you can almost feel the soft grittiness of it. But the textures elsewhere in the picture are fine too as are the colours and the lovely light. It is, of course, the light and the way in which you saw it and dealt with it that have made this picture so appealing and have also brought out all the rock textures.
Lovely vibrant summery colours, perfect exposure and stunning details and sharpness.

P.S. Oh dear, I'm getting old too and my eyesight certainly isn't what it was. But there must be life in the old dog yet - the very first thing I noticed in this picture was the almost naked lady going for a swim! :o)

May be this is not the perfect idylic beach . No white sand , but superb coloured rocks . I like this kind of secluded place .
Excellent view with an openeing to the village on eth left .
