Thira Quad posse

The quads on display here are a hoot to drive. Big fun. But keeping out of their sometimes erratic ways while riding our light motorcycles made the Thira roads sometimes kind of challenging to navigate ;-)

And yes, one of the great attractions of the Greek isles is exploring them with the wind on your skin and in your face and hair. Wether it's on two wheels or when you don't feel comfortable that way on the four small ones of a quad bike. The freedom, the tranquil (mostly) roads, the spectacular vistas, the sheer joy of cornering at speed… Always an unique experience.

This one was shot at the parking of the Red beach near Akrotiri. Of the many possibilities of shooting on the street I didn’t choose the stealthy / candid way, but just positioned myself, smiled (well, maybe it was a grin) and took some shots. I probably waited a wee bit to long to get out of the way of them quads, hence the somewhat apprehensive expression on the faces of some of the riders/passengers and the reaching for the brake ;-)
