Photographer's Note

Santorini is a volcanic island in the Aegean Sea and one of the many candiates for the legendary Atlantis City.

The Greek name of the island is Thira, whereas Santorini was given during the Latin Empire in the 13th century, to the honor of St Irene.

The current archipelago is formed during an eruption when the centre collapsed and a rectangular pool, called "caldera", emerged among the islands.

I took the shot above the harbor, in Akrotiri, while the ferry was leaving the island by creating big waves in the Caldera. Used a grey Cokin filter, increased sharpness, saturation and shades.
