A backstreet in the less touristy streets of the picturesque town of Symi on Symi Island in Greece. Surrounded by the empty shells of other buildings, this house looks conspicuous in its blue and orange livery, being much better cared for than those around it.

I like a lot this view , with a great mix of shapes and textures . Youhave perfectly placed the attractive orange facade (and the window) between the stoned walls .

Clever composition here and of course the contrast betweeen the orange and vivid blues making the shape of this house stand out. A nice flattened perspective which adds to the abstract feel too.

Hello Brian,
Certainly better cared for and so very different, in that it uses orange and blue rather than white and blue.
I like how you have hinted at the neighbourhood with just enough shapes to stimulate our curiosity and just enough details to allow us to fill in the gaps.
Excellent textural details and a usful vertical format.

Hello Brian - A colour palette made in heaven. Its almost as if the owners of the blue and orange house took their inspiration directly from the colour of the sky and surrounding landscape and rock. Beautiful combination. Lovely textures and collection of angles and planes. Warm regards rosemary

Hi Brian,
I find this fascinating, the "smooth' texture of the orange facade as the centerpiece surrounded by the stone and weathered buildings is superb style contrast, it's a neat combination of old and new. The blue trim and sky also makes for a splendid color combo against the rest of the scene. The lighting is perfect and shows so much rich detail. What can I say, another beautiful shot!
