Είναι ένας από τους σημαντικότερους διατηρητέους παραδοσιακούς οικισμούς της Ελλάδας. Ένα από τα δέκα ομορφότερα χωριά της Ευρώπης. Έχει ιστορία πολλών αιώνων. Και κάποιοι το θεωρούν αναμφίβολα το ωραιότερο χωριό της Β. Ελλάδας. Και όσοι το έχουν επισκεφθεί το έχουν βάλει πια στην καρδιά τους. Το Νυμφαίο, είναι κτισμένο στις κορυφογραμμές του Βίτσι, σε υψόμετρο 1.350 μ. στις παρυφές του πανάρχαιου παρθένου δάσους. Πρωτοκατοικήθηκε το 1385 και γνώρισε μεγάλη οικονομική άνθηση, που κορυφώθηκε από τον 18ο αιώνα μέχρι τις αρχές του 20ού, όταν οι δαιμόνιοι Βλάχοι έμποροί του εξαπλώθηκαν σε Δύση και Ανατολή.
He is one from the more important preservable traditional settlements of Greece. One of the ten more beautiful villages of Europe. It has history of many centuries. And somebodies the considering indubitably more beautiful village of V. Greece. And those who have visited him him they have put anymore in their heart. The nymphaeum, is built in the ridges of Bitsi, in altitude 1.350 m. in the fringes of ancient virgin forest. The first residents came in 1385 and it knew big economic blossoming, that climaxed from the 18th century up to the beginnings 20th, when ingenious his Villager tradesmen expanded in West and East.

Great photo! Imposing atmosphere and beautiful scenery. I think I would have liked it a bit more, though, if it was a little bit zoomed out, that is if the whole tree trunk was visible.
