Photographer's Note
This is Myrtos Beach in north east Kefalonia, arguably one of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean. I have not manipulated this image in any way. I was lying close to the water's edge when I became transfixed by these horizontal bands of blue and the rolling surf, the like of which I had never seen before. There is an explanation, which I will provide, when I post another image taken from above the beach.

Myrtos is really a fantastic beach! I loved it, and I love your picture, so simple and so special. I didn't notice these bands of colors, of different blues, when I was there!
