Photographer's Note
This is mountain Dirfis, photographed from the location of Loutsa, a small village near.
Mt Dirfis is the most high mountain at Evia island and it's height is 1743 (Thanks Vagelis for the tip) meters. The most days of the year is covered with snow and at it's granite peak you can see only black firs.
At the foot of this mountain, you can find beautiful small villages full of firs and plane trees, great small rivers of crystal cold water and excellent local food. Loutsa, Steni (=narrow in Greek), Metohi are some of them.
Dirfis is visible from Chalkis, my hometown and from the most of the wide area of Viotia and of course Evia. From the top of it, you can see almost all Greece from Agion Oros to Crete and Dodekanisa islands.
These villages and locations are only 1 1/2 hour from Athens and there great opportunities for small excurtions.
I took this photo from a height of 800m to 1000m :). That's why the peak you can see seems to be so "low" :)

Καλησπέρα Μπάμπη,
Πολύ όμορφη σύνθεση, με καλοστημένο κάδρο και τεχνικά άψογη. Χρώματα, φωτισμός, οξύτητα, βάθος όλα τέλεια. Ο ουρανός και τα σύννεφα συμπληρώνουν πολύ όμορφα την εικόνα. Πάρα πολύ καλή δουλειά!!

gentle little hill, it does not look like so high so it's good to have your note, I like these hanging and somewhat heavy clouds, they add a lot on interest to this composition.

Excelent capture with this low horizon to this nice scenery mountain landscape. Good light, fine colors and atmosphere and nature condition. Excelent enquadrement for composition and a lovely blue sky with some nice withe clouds in contrast but a plus.

Kalimera Mpampis, what a delightful mountainscape. This rugged mountainridge domibates the scene very nicely and looking at the nicely rendered details in the FG you can see the enormous scale of it. The clouds look great too. Very balanced, very good.

Very nice pic. Beatifull clouds, nice composition and sharpness.
Just for information the height of the mountain is 1743 meters and the north part of the mountain ends to the beatifull beach of Hiliadou.

Hi Mpampis. That looks to be one heck of a rocky mountain. If that was indeed rock that would be interesting to know what kind. Personally I might have cropped the very top of the sky out. Beautiful shot Mpampis!
