Attiko Metro: Syntagma Station
One of the unique characteristics of the Athens Metro is the fact that its construction was actually the vessel for the execution of large-scale archaeological excavation works. More specifically, in the framework of the Metro construction, the greatest archaeological excavation in the Athens area was carried out (spanning over an area of 79000m2), which revealed more than 50000 ancient articles.
Today, the ancient articles are in public display for the first time in six prestigious Metro Stations, inviting thus every rushing passenger, either Greek or foreigner, to examine and admire them.

Hello Vasilis!
The picture is very attractive and truly beautiful!
Besides that, its meaning is very important too, because it shows how nice it was the building of Athens Subway, trying to preserve as much as possible whatever they found underground!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,

what a great idea, to combine building of the metro and archeological excavations, and then to combine metro stations and museums. I think that's an excellent way to remind people every day about the rich history of Greece, and do that in a user-friendly and accessible way.
the photo the glass cubes seem a little distorted, but it must've been close to impossible to avoid that with a wide angle and so many straight lines.
best,
Kristine

Hello Vasilis,
Beautiful capture of the Syntagma metro hall.
It looks like a museum. And for the pieces exhibited, it is. A free museum.
Good management of light and color.
Best regards,
Carlos
