Photographer's Note
The ALTE PINAKOTHEK is an art museum located in the Kunstareal area in Munich. It is one of the oldest galleries in the world and houses a significant collection of Old Master paintings.
The name Alte (Old) Pinakothek refers to the time period covered by the collection—from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century.
It's one of the world's top museums and visiting it was one of the highlights of our German trip.

Dag Benny,
Eindeloosheid in de fotografie is een fantastisch thema met vele goede fotomogelijkheden.
Of je nu de trap op gaat of de trap af gaat, deze twee foto’s laten een weg zien van oneindigheid naar oneindigheid.
Uitstekend werk!

Hello Benny, an impressive set of stairs.
Very good tight framing with interesting lines converging at the top of the stairs. All straight lines apart from the rounded arches.
The light adds some nice high lights and shadows.
Almost an abstract.
I have never heard of this museum before, and I like art and museums!

Hello Benny,
You've given us a two almost identical 'big empty stairs' playing with lights and shadows.
:-) you didn't tell us how difficult it's to choose one of them as main. I do believe that this one is much brighter but I do find the WS1 is more mystery to it.
Both are very seen and taken. Now that you've shown us the view 'upstairs' .... what about 'downstairs' view :-)

Hello Benny,
It's cool how a sense of space can be so majestic and inspire emotion. I like this vertical composition. I also like the emptiness, but a WS version with one, lone person walking up the stairs would have been nice, too. :-) Take care!
