BAMBERG is yet another grand old little town in Bayern. It is famous for its history and architecture, for E.T.A. Hoffman and its town hall bridge, but it's also just a great place to hang around, eat, drink and be merry.

THIS PICTURE was shot from higher up on the hill where the cathedral and the bishop's palace are located. Looking down onto the old city center, you might spot a terrace table or seating that's still untaken. If you're lucky, it might still be available once you get there. Otherwise just stroll around town, that's no punishment either.

Hello Benny,
It's a good composition in a nice shape. The brick roofs and windows seem to get most attention, but I find my eyes irresistibly drawn to the table and chairs in the small gap between the buildings. Taking photos from above is always great fun. I also like how the right part is mainly dark red and the left side some kind of dirty yellow.

A fabulous roofscape! Subtle light and colour taken at right time of day are the right ingredients for this artistry capture. The small table and chair gives a splendid break within the closed-in roofs and facades. I'm imagining a small version of a fantastic jigsaw with that "yellow & brown" colour..

Dag Benny,
Op deze wijze kon u ook de daken eens zien aan de bovenkant.
Dat er een tafel vrij staat verwonder mijn niet in corona tijd.
Ik zie ook een sneeuwvanger iets wat wijn hier amper kennen, soms op een kerk dak.
De schaduwen zorgen voor een mooi contrast.
Goed foto werk vanwaar u dit beeld kon maken, bedankt.

I am most impressed by your composition!
This view, between the roofs of the red and yellow houses, is excellent and really suits the vertical format!
The table and chairs might seem insignificant but draw the focus towards the ground very effectively!

You found a wonderful high viewpoint. Tele brings good attention to diagonal lines of tile roofs. Sidelight gives good contrasts. Good mix of earth tone colours.

The different roofs, the shapes and colours of the various buildings are a lovely study in a good light.

Je hebt op een heel mooie manier ingezoomd op de huizen en daken van de stad. Het zorg voor een mooie mix van gevels en daken in verschillende warme kleuren, gezien in een aangenaam zonlicht.

reminds me of Porto Portugal. Its always fun taking these type of shots, with criss crossing sections of architecture overlapping each other, I like it alot. lovely light and colors too. cheers
