Photographer's Note
Here I show you one of the wonderful stained glass windows in the basilica of the Abbey Marienstatt in the German low mountain range Westerwald. It shows the resurrection of Christ. The abbey is situated nearly hidden deep in the valley of the river Nister not far away from the small city Hachenburg, about 50 kilometres south-east of Cologne.This Abbey was founded in 12th century and its basilica was built in style of early Gothik. It's choir stalls from 1290 is the oldest still used in Germany. Today there's also a library, a brewhouse with restaurant, an art trade and bookshop, a guest house and a classical grammar school. Already yesterday I tried to wish "Happy Easter" to my friends here on TE - with a photo showing two baskets filled with Easter eggs. This picture with all your esteemed comments however was deleted by moderators because ... "Your photo titled, "Happy Easter!" (photo1514943.htm) seems to violate the TrekEarth terms of service and therefore has been inactivated. The reason is:
-Studio-like, staged or posed.".
I get tired to comment this behaviour of the overseers here on TE once again ... Nevertheless - Happy Easter!

It would be much better for all concerned if more time was spent by the people running Trekearth making it a workable site for photographers rather than carping about possible infringements of terms and conditions. Hello Frank,
I didn't see your original but this one is a fine photograph and is perfectly in keeping with the message of Easter.
I, also, had a photograph removed, a few months ago, which wished people happy Christmas.
I suppose, when I look at the guide lines, that it was my notes that didn't explain the context of the photograph, but it is sad that more energy isn't placed on making the site more efficient, than penalising perfectly good photography.

This is FotoShipshuck from PF. I saw your note to John Maenhout (jhm) and recognized the user name. I am sorry to read about your unpleasant experience on TE. I sympathize and add that the reason I continue to post on TE is the circle of friendships that have developed over the years.
I like the colors of this photo, it is usually difficult to get stained glass windows right in a photograph, you have done quite well. Of course, it is most appropriate for this weekend. Happy Easter to you, too!

Uau, foto sensacional! O enquadramento e o formato vertical ficaram muito bons. Bom jogo entre luz e sombra, as partes mais claras fazem um contraste interessante com a escuridão. As pinturas possuem belas cores.
