A harsh juxtaposition between obvious destruction (the waters of Ahr river reached the middle of the second floors) and a seemingly intact background - which is also devastated, you only have to look closely.
Only the vineyards of Dernau remained intact. They brought in the 2021 harvest, which might be the most important one of a whole century.
