Photographer's Note
I'm a bit tired of colours (meaningful or not...;))) in my pictures, so if you don't mind, my next few uploads will be in BW. Here we are in the old Franconian town of Dinkelsbühl, which was already presented on several of my previous posts. A frozen pond just outside of the town walls... one of the few days of real winter this year...

Hello Alexander,
Good use of the black and white; it brings a timeless feel to this peaceful scene of children playing on the frozen pond. Very good composition with all the elements nicely placed and the little 'hut' adding depth to the scene. Good tonal range and excellent clarity.

Hi Alex, i do like that one, strange it has so few feedback but let me tell you this is a nice one. TEchnically first the sharpness is on top you got a lot of details here. Artistically this is very nice too with nice placements of elements, those three layers superpose each other very well.
Very good one

Hi Alexander,
So there was cold enough for a pond to freeze and even carry pedestrians. Surprising for this winter. B&W works well with these old walls and buildings. That old fashioned sleigh is a nice detail. I wish they were closer though.

Hi Alexander,
Nice B&W-Sepia composition. The small home of the ducks gives a nice balance to the bigger houses.
Cheers

Hi, Alex -
I think you made the right choice with a sepia wash here; it gives an antique and at the same time a timeless quality to the photo.
And it is a nice, timeless scene with good balanced elements, too.

Dan

Bonjour Alexander,
une jolie carte postale à l'ancienne et une vue qui perd tout son contemporrain. Le traitement sépia est bien géré, pas trop poussé.
Ca sent bien l'hiver.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Alxander
Usually I prefer colours, but in this case it has no meaning, because "colour" version is almost without colours ;). Nice composition and light.
Have a nice day.

A very well composed winter shot where the sepia works well in helping achieve this mood. Nice one.
Best wishes

Hello Alexander,
I really don't mind if your next posts will be b&w, especialy if they have the same quality than this one !
Wonderful composition here, and the sepia conversion gives it a surnatural and timeless atmosphere that I like a lot.
These kids playing on the ice and the small house are perfectly placed.
This is great work !
Have a nice sunday.
Best regards, Christian
