Photographer's Note

After the fall of Hitler and his National Socialist regime in April/May 1945 much of Germanys historic buildings lay in ruins. The Russians had control of East Germany and the building of the Berlin wall on the 13th August 1961 seals off the sector which includes the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag.
One day after Germanys formal reunification on 4th October 1990, the first sitting of the all German Bundestag takes place in the Reichstag building and in Bonn on the 20th June 1991 it is agreed that the seat of Parliament and Government should be restored to Berlin, with the Reichstag being considered as the venue for the Bundestag.
In July 1993 the British architect Lord Norman Fosters plans are accepted. In 1995 work begins on restoring the building and on April 19th 1999 the official handover of the building takes place.
Here I used the lines of the floor, stairwalk and the magnificent glass dome to lead the eye towards the semi silhouetted figures.
Done a workshop version as suggested by Rafal and George which is better. Will update this onto here later.
Thanks to you both.
