Photographer's Note

While in Berlin I loved travelling on the S + U Bahn. The mixture of the old stations and the new was very interesting. Personally I liked the old stations as opposed to the new ones such as can be found at Potsdamer Platz.
This was taken at Unter den Linden, the stop for the Brandenburg Gate. I had my camera sat on top of my camera bag to hold it still. I had it on timer and mirror lock and waited for a train to arrive. Just as the photo was to be taken the woman looked around. Perfect.
I also heard last week an interview with U2. When asked why they called themselves that they said that they didn't really know, but they thought it sounded like a German U Boat. Later they made an album, Zoo Station. Guess what? They didn't know that in Berlin the U2 line on the U Bahn stops at the zoo station (Zoologischer Garten).
