Photographer's Note

Auguste was one of the last shepherds of bay of the Mont Saint Michel and he made grazing his sheep on the left bank of river "Couesnon" for those familiar with the place.
With his dog, his whistle, his binoculars and his stick, he took care of a herd of 200 sheep.
Regularly, I came to see him and we discussed.
He did not like to speak about him, but about weather, tourists who came to annoy him, dogs which ran after the sheep, lambs born at the beginning of year, ewes which drowned when the tide went up, of all and of nothing...
2 years ago, Auguste had to stop his work because of health problems and had to retire in a hospital.
Auguste is deceased a few days ago and was buried today.
I pay homage to him with this picture...
