Strengthened church of Saint-Pierre of Boupère 12th 14th 15th 19th century

In XIIème century it was built Romance, strengthened fine XIVème beginning XVème century during the war of Hundred-Years," Guerre de Cent-ans", to protect the population, then increased at the XIXème century.
Its fortifications include a covered way protected by a notched parapet, "bretèches", loopholes, "archères", "canonnières".
The church was classified historic building in 1862. Boupère is a common Frenchwoman located in the department of the Vendée and the Pays area of the Loire.
The commune of Boupère is located in full heart of the Vendean scrap-metal, in the center of a triangle formed by the cantons of Pouzauges, Chantonnay and the Herbaria.
