Photographer's Note
Here's a top view of yesterday cyclo-nudist rally in Paris, before the ride starts. (complete story here). As for the aesthetics, don't need to tweak anything on your monitor, I thought I could select this outrageously saturated outcome, that would match the event.
I have hesitated between two photos to show, this one and a more mature bike rider, who I think might be probably too "expressive" for TrekEarth... tell me what you think... Pls be aware that on opening of the workshops, there will be FLESH, perhaps not the one you expected... At your own risk, the company will not be liable.
Here's what's in a woman photographer's mind... and a seasoned bike rider ...
I've been autoritarily asked to translate my captions both in French and English languages, you might be then interest to read these two versions :
1- the english lyrics of a french song, Let me introduce you to the famous singer Yves Climbing and his hit "à bicycle", thanks to Babelfish for the translation... I promise I didn't move a single word...
2- the french lyrics of a typically english song "La Course de Bicyclettes" from the rock group Reine featuring the late Frédéric Mercure. (pls read french caption). A Babelfish entertainment, once again.
.... haaaa the fun of Babelfish ...

à bicyclette par Yves Montand
("à bicycle" by Yves Climbing).
When one started
from good morning
When one left on ways
A bicycle
We were some good buddies
Y had Fernand
Y had Firmin
Y there had Francis and Sebastien
And then Paulette
One was all in love d'elle
One felt to push wings
A bicycle
On the small dirt tracks
One often lived l'enfer
not to put foot at ground
In front of Paulette
Is necessary to say qu'elle
put at it to coeur
C'était the girl of factor
A bicycle
And since qu'elle eight years old
It was had made while following it
All surrounding ways
A bicycle
When the river was approached
One deposited in the ferns
Our bicycles
Then one rolled oneself in the fields
Giving birth to a bouquet changing
From grasshoppers, butterflies
And tree frogs
When the sun with l'horizon
Profiled on all the bushes
Our silhouettes
One however returned fourbus content the a little vague coeur
With n'être not only a moment
With Paulette
To furtively take to its
Oublier hand a little the buddies the bicycle
One said c'est for
J'oserai tomorrow, will j'oserai tomorrow
When one goes on ways
A bicycle

Hi Luco,
The angle of view you have chosen is simply fantastic. It gives me a nice relaxation. Very good visualized shot.

image bien agréable et je me dis que je suis bien en retard et que je devrais être à leur place au lieu d'être scotché à mon ordi

These are great shots!! Not everyday does someone get the opportunity to take shot like these. Very expressive and well done. Here is my opinion on the 2 WS pictures. The man with the sock isn't trying to show how big his manhood is, but rather using it to put between him and the seat to prevent a rash, that poor lady in the last picture won't be able to sit right for a week!!! ha ha!! I loved them all.

Wonderful pov, Luko, did you climb a tree? Love the atmosphere you created here.
Yes, I can see what is on the woman photographer's mind, and I sympathize with her. But the mature one...I felt 'ouch'!!

Aesthetically very pleasing arrangement of geometric forms and shapes surrounding the activists who also form entangled topological forms with their arms and knees. The colour contrast between the grass and the skin is also very appealing. The best part for me is the only half-circle and half-parabola (sandal) at the bottom right amidst the sea of closed circles and traingles. This is truly an excercise in geometry.

Hi Luko,
Okay, you did give a health warning on going to the workshops, so opening them was entirely at my own risk. Hahaha, what's on a woman's mind. Wonderful. That is a big sized sock. Hope that's just because he has big feet hahaha. Yes, I am actually wondering what's on her mind. Looking at her lense - fortunately not a zoom :-D.
I like the way you cropped this picture and the saturation works fine in this case. Yes, nice all those circles in it. The sandal in the right bottom doesn't do it for me as it does for Prantik. There's another cropped circle to the left bottom, so I don't really see that. But a nice graphical shot!
Greetings, Dennis

:) beautiful geometry - neatly aranged shapes (human or otherwise) - very effective angle (you must have been on the bridge ... at least it's what i think after seeing the whole story you 'wrote' on pbase - another must-see for everyone who hasn't yet) ... and i admit i am quite impressed with vignetting. also, i don't find anything extreme in colors ("outrageously saturated"), or better said i don't find anything visually disturbing to me regarding colors :) - good one!
... and interesting workshops :) - all toped up by the very nice 'sound of music' - be it a tune sang by Yves 'Climbing' or one sang by the late Frederic Mercure (i realized almost instantly who Yves 'Climbing' was but it took a few seconds of thinking till i realized which Frederic are you talking about ... guess i didn't want to believe my eyes - luckily the 'Reine' helped :) - anyhow, Babelfish is brilliant.
stay well,
dora

Picnic sur l'herbe, why not. I really like this one, the high POV gives you a God's eye view of the proceedings and at the asme time shows the sweet ordinariness of the event... The disposition of the bikes on the lawn is ace.
Very ncie shot,

Bicyclettes sur l'herbe... potentially, similarly outrageous as Manet's dejauner was in the 1860s..
love the craziness of the sans-coulotte event (I only saw and photographed the big signs saying there would be a Naked Bike Day, haha, this being Ottawa!) but what I really love here is your angle. I haven't seen bicylces being photographed like this, ever. This is to me the real forte of your shot. Thanks for the WS ones too, much myrrh on my end.

At last an image with every compositional geometry known to man in one place! As there seems to be a little debate about a sandal and so much else has been said about how well it all fits together in other ways I'll add that in all four corners there's a dynamic compositional element - this is very nice for a picture taken out of a complex context - where do you place the frame on such an image - here you have a achieved such a nice balance of allowing us to think out of the frame in four directions. Your series is interesting to get more of the sense of your photographers mind at work.....thanks for sharing the others.

p.s. thanks for the song too!!

Luko,
Wonderful shot and i loved your work on Pbase. Its so good to see more of your work and together as a story or theme. Something that TE isn't really conducive too. Great point of view a very unique and striking photograph.
Cheers

a gallery? is it a wall hanger in some art gallery?
-----------
everything has already been said...let me just mention that i do love the green "background" for the scene...i think it would not work equally well if the bunch of these guys were sitting on a pavement, for instance...
best wishes, j.

A great look down with some great saturation. With the slightly bumped up contrast and randomness of the shot this could very easily be included into Mike Kings portfolio.

Olá Luko, another great shot of this fantastic event. Although I love such views from above and its graphical results, I might choose the mature girl - it's a really good photo, but I agree that it must be too 'expressive' for TE. The other WS is a very funny one, as well are the funny translations of the Babelfish. I'll think twice before I'll rent a bike in my next time in Paris... :)

Bonjour, Luko.

Hi Luko,
This is such an interesting POV, it pulls the viewer out to a distance, that as if we are just observing from high above the sky. Yet at the same time, it gives an impression that all the people and bikes are pegged on a green wall! Interesting!

Wonderful - I like the saturation, contrast
and vignetting that help focus on the elements
of composition.
Bodies and circles in 2D - very graphical and
pleasing for the eye.

Salut Monsieur.
Le vert bien tape à l'oeil me plait bien ;)

I kinda like the little things poking into various corners of this photo Luko. Kinda shows the big 'mess' and relaxation of the people involved in the event well.

Beautiful composition and bunch of relaxed bodies in different postures. So many different colours being subtle in the middle of the saturated greens. The flip flops drive my attention. Quite fun.

Among your most recent works I like this one in particular. A nice POV, with all the "dead" bykes on the grass.
