corte..is a beautiful town and very atmospheric..however there is evidence of a lack of general input of funding to renovate these wonderful structures to their former glory..
the fronts are in some areas just as bad..these are the backs..

Great photo - the detail in the buildings illustrates the disinterest in maintenance and provides an insight into the town. Makes me want to see more images of the architecture.

Corte is my home town..and you're absolutely right..
this is a shame.
There are two main reasons:
- most of the owmner of the appartments are old, and don't want to renovate because of a lack of money..renovating is expensive..
- the other appartments, often, are owned by several persons, members of the same family, and are rented..so they don't want to renovate..

What a chaos! Is it poverty? Is it inability? Is it lack of interest ... ? There are so many - partly funny - details in your picture, but in general it's pity that the fabric of the building is neglected in this way. Thank you for showing this!
