Photographer's Note
The area of Bergues (formerly Sint-Winoksbergen) was christianed in the 7th century by Saint Winoc. In the 11th century the counts of Flanders built a monastery on the Groenberg that was dedicated to him. This abbye was very important in the Middle Ages and was surrounded with its own walls for protection. This abbye existed till the French Revolution when it was torn down completely except for two towers: this one, the Pointy tower (Tour Pointue) and another one called the Square tower(Tour Carrée). Where the abbey used to be, there is a big park now.

Mooie foto hendrik,
de scherpte is ongelofelijk, het contrast is goed en ik moet zeggen een mooie compostie met dit harde licht, goed werk.

Dag Hendrik,
De kleine kertoren wordt mooi geflankeerd door de groenen takken die op zich al zorgen voor een kader de toeren zelf tegen een staal blauwe hemel, want zo krijgen wij er niet veel. Gelukkig zitten daar twee mensen om de schaal te bepalen. Ik vind dit een aantrekkelijke foto, mooiwerk!

Well composed in the vertical format. I like the great contrast here between the rich grass and the shaded area, as well as the lighter tones of the structure. The sharpness level is just right, as well as your exposure. The POV is well chosen. A clean crisp shot, enhanced by the people sitting. Well done.

Bonjour Hendrik,
C'est bien la première fois que je vois une tour-clocher de cette façon !
L'ensemble a une grande prestance, et ressort magnifiquement dans cet écrin de verdure et ce fond de ciel d'un bleu pur.
C'est curieux cette architecture, elle rappelle par endroits un bâtiment militaire défensif avec ses meurtrières, ou arbalétrières ?
La photo est très réussie.
