Photographer's Note
I was waiting for a small cruise in the port and as the pier was close to the St Joseph church, I never visited before, I tried to enter it.
I got in and got... fascinated ! It was simply incredible, beautiful and never seen before !
The building is very simple : a 105 m high concrete tower (you see from almost everywhere in the city) on a concrete block. From outside, it's not really beautiful, but inside !!!
The block is the altar (you can guess in the WS). Everywhere, you find small leaded glass windows. You can see here the tower, in the sun, producing an incredible colorfull light, like a kaleidoscope.
Amazing...

A bientôt,
Nicole

Brigitte

Hi Stephane
Amazing architecture and great symmetry. The detail is impressive. I like the pov and the exposure control is excellent. Nice shot for this cloudy London Sunday. A complete contrast to sunny Istanbul yesterday!

Bonjour Sthephane... Quite impressive tower. I love the framing here, ginving me the sensation like I have lost the sense of space. Quite a futuristic mood. A day ago I told you about a statue you show us that reminds me to "Metropolis" the film of Fritz Lang, with this photo I get the very same idea. If you have not seen the film, I encourage you to do it. Take care et bonjour.

It does look like a wonderful place. Excellent composition where the small windows in the tower light our way to the octagonal window on the top.

Salut Stephane,

Hi Stephane
Very fascinating picture. It first sight I thought it was all wood, but when I had red your info and saw the other pictures of this remarkable church. 105 m height is easier to realize in concrete than in wood.

Hi Stephane,
It's almost a artwork, certainly a 3D presentation, a very difficult picture but excellent taken.
Very well done!
Thanks a lot.

Hi Stephane,
Really a great finding. I am also impress by the beauty of this temple. At first I tought it was a wooden tower, because of redish light coming through the glass windows. Fantastic POV and superb light. Congratulations.

Hi Stephane
It's nice to know and able to see different architectural elements from the reat of the world through TE.
This is one unique image, Stephane.
The cool perspectively view of the tower is simply amazing. And the small tiny color windiw panel provided a colorful tonning along the wall of the tower.
Simple beautiful, Stephane.

Compliments.

Hi Stephane,
An incredible scene, with mesmerizing tones, hues, and light. The artwork and fine details of the woodwork engross the senses. The eye is drawn ever upward to the octagonal glass. This is very inspiring. A treasure.

Bonjour Stephane,
Glad to be back and be greeted by this very lovely shot. The tone and colour renderings are brilliant and on the dot. I enjoyed the overall low key with some high pitches resonating around the tower. The composition allowed us to feel being lifted up. Congratulation!!! All the best.

What a beautifully rich image Stephane - I really like this a lot - excellent shot for the light - the tones are wonderful....and this sense of revealation of which you write - of discovering the inner sanctum and path of coloured lights to the apex - quite magical!!

Hello,
Quel clocher impressionnant !
Excellent.

Great shot!!! I'm sorry, I know it is a church but it just reminds me of two futuristic movies: Matrix and Metropolis.
