Photographer's Note
On the other side of the road in Luberon.
Between the Alps and the plain of Vaucluse the "country of Luberon" is stretched.
Provence finds here the full force of its character.
Softness of the climate and transparency of the air exalt harmonious contrasts of a rich and multiple nature: blue striations of the lavenders, yellow of the sunflowers, green of the forests to the subtle nuances. We can add the azure of the sky, the heat of ochre cliffs, the austere whiteness of the hills limestones.
What attracted me, be the movement of the lavenders. I thought of van Gogh.
The image contains many details: to pass to 200kb I had to compress it much

Nice composition of colours here. I like the way the different flowers create different levels within the image. Nice perspective and depth.

On est bien tombé aujourd'hui, ma sauterelle a été prise du coté d'Apt (dans le Lubéron donc), on peut comprendre qu'avec autant de détail, on perd beaucoup à la compression...

Hi Georges,
The amazing view which fascinates me.
In this year I was in Provance but in September and I could not
unfortunately see blooming lavender. There are my favourite flovers. I love their colour and scent!

A fantastic shot, with so much beauty and nice colors. One of those shots that both the foreground and background look exquisite and nicely done. Bonjour Georges,
Avant de lire la note je pensais deja a Van Gogh, comme je ne suis pas un grand connaisseur de peinture c'est dire que cette photo a pleinement atteint son but !
Le sujet est donc bien interprete, lumineux et mettant en scene deux couleurs qui s'accordent tres bien, cela aurait peut etre ete encore plus percutant en croppant un peu a droite et en utilisant un point de vue plus bas pour minimiser la separation du chemin, mais la je pinaille...
