Photographer's Note
The Louvre Through a Pyramid
Oh, no! Not another picture of the Louvre Museum! Calm down, this is my first photo of Louvre from my first trip to Paris.
This is a photo of Pavilion Richelieu through the great glass Pyramid which is an entrance to the large reception hall beneath.
The Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre) in Paris, France is the world’s largest museum. Used as a royal palace from the 16th to 18th centuries, the Louvre has been through many transformations in the course of history. The Louvre Museum houses 35,000 works of art drawn from eight departments, displayed in over 60,000 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to the permanent collections.
Special thanks to Curioso and kinginexile who gave me great Tips on how to take that perfect photo in Paris. I had a wonderful time. :)

Hi Anastazija,
Very nice and unusual photo of Louvre. It is really nice seeing the majestic bulding through the modern pyramid. It worked very well in B&W.
Very well done.

Hello, Anastazija.
I like this point of view you have taken on the Louvre. This really works in B/W, there is good contrast and depth in this photo and the symetry is great also.

Nice shot Anastazija;
Very imaginative shooting this photo through the checkered glass, and I like your decision to desaturate the photo to B&W to emphasize the lines and detail.
Well done Anastazija!

Hi Anastazija,
great shot, I like your POV and the use of the B&W for this picture. It works very well. This net of the pyramid is like a filter that hide the people on the picture. TFS

Hello Anastazija. Always nice to see a refreshing perspective on well-known monuments and landmarks, and this is certainly what you accomplished here with this view of the old building through the glass pyramid. The contrast between old and new makes for a pleasant viewing, and I think the b&w has a good tonal range and allows the viewer to focus on this interplay of different shapes and architectural styles.

I like the black and white but I'm not sure about the great glass pyramid . To me ,it is distracting but it is only personal taste. Jim
