I really enjoyed the Grand Steeple-Chase event that happened yesterday in Auteuil.
My tele is a bit short for this kind of photography, most pro I've seen there were using 400 or even 600mm

still quite sharp for the distance and i imagine the crop you gave your shot. I think your shot captures very well the effort from both the jockey end the horse, even though the angle of view was not the best to convey a sense of a competition going on towards a finish line.

Absolutely terrific capture, Rudy, the fast lens speed really froze the action. Great saturation and sharpness of the horse and rider with the background nicely blurred. It doesn't even appear that you needed to pan with the shot.

Horses can see sideways and this one got his tongue out for your camera ;-)
